Cambrian Coffee

I treated this menu like a book. Start from the top left and work your way down… except I gravitated to the first thing I read. The Cambrian Explosion. This drink is basically just drip coffee with a shot of espresso. As a reviewer I usually go with the flagship drink and while unorthodox I had to order it. I even asked the barista how it was beforehand and got a great response – “strong :D”

The cafe is very cute and minimal. They had Halloween decorations up and it was completely full when I entered. Luckily I managed to grab a bar seat facing the window. The drink also came out lightening fast which isn’t too surprising with what compromises it.

The coffee was great and whatever beans they use are delicious. The drink was indeed strong but also surprisingly smooth. I love black coffee and it just hit all the right marks. The vibe felt extremely welcoming and warm compared to some places where you can’t help but feel like you’re intruding after staying past the imaginary time limit. Thus, two hours flew by and before I knew it my stomach was rumbling and I had to find a lunch spot.
