Slow Drip TX

Slow drip is one of the uniquer coffee concepts I’ve tried in a while. They slow drip all of their coffee to create a strong and concentrated flavor.

Slow drippers slow dripping

Located in the downtown area, there was plenty of street parking when we visited on a Saturday morning. The people here were extremely friendly and after saying it was our first time, they walked us through the concept. You basically get the slow drip coffee with your choice of flavor blend and milk (no upcharge for choice.) I went with their most popular and what got them started – the oat milk brown sugar combo.

Amelia noted that the decor gave masculine energy and I had to agree. That said, the aesthetic felt like H-Town and I enjoyed it. There’s a good bit of seating inside and a park right across the shop if the weathers nice.

One thing I am curious about is how they can keep up with demand based on the slow drip pace?

Do they drip overnight as well to catch up?

Do they ever run out?

Well I’ve been getting through this review slowly enough, so let’s get to the coffee. The actual coffee part is bold and packs a punch. However, with the oat milk and brown sugar it feels more reminiscent of leftover cereal milk. I enjoyed the first fourth of the drink, but the syrup wore thin on me quickly and I didn’t end up finishing it. Still was a nice sipper to have while walking to Discovery Green and I’d be very curious to try the iced drip straight up next time.
