My manager recently came back from a work trip and brought a couple goodies for the team to try. The item that most caught my eye is the Tokyo Banana. If all my loyal followers haven’t noticed by now, I’m a banana fiend. Opening a package of this and instantly getting that aroma of authentic banana goodness made me excited to try.
t’s soft and pillowy with a little bit of custard inside reminiscent of a Twinkie. Each bite feels light. I expected this to taste sugary, but surprisingly there’s little sweetness to it. Regardless, other than the novelty of being from Japan I didn’t care too much for it. It doesn’t have any cravability making me want another bite. It tastes dull and the strong banana smell is misleading when compared to the actual flavor.
