Upside, inside out
I’m living la vida coffee
Café la vita appears the be a burger joint from the outside, but inside you’ll also find coffee. Parking is a little sketchy with spots located in the alley beside it, but it seems like it can fill up fast. Inside, it gives major Italian vibes from the barista to the decor.

There wasn’t anyone waiting when I arrived, but after I good little queue had formed. I heard someone say they saw this place on Instagram, so I guess advertising really does work. Good thing I wasn’t actually in Italy where the words iced and coffee together will earn you a blank stare, cause that’s just what I needed today. I added a bacon egg and cheese bagel for good measure.
My drink came out and looked beautiful with the milk expression. The espresso in here is very strong and pronounced. It’s a little on the bitter side for an iced latte but there’s also no flavorings to cover that up. Overall though it’s great and the perfect caffeine boost. I was here with the homies and everyone enjoyed their drink.
The bagel was delicious. As much as I love bacon I usually avoid it on a sandwich because I hate when it’s soft and chewy. However, they nailed it here and it was both crispy and smoky. The cheese also doesn’t look appetizing with the square, but it surprisingly worked well. My main complaint is that the everything bagel wasn’t 100% fresh, but it is from the Bronx so there’s gotta be something lost when freezing, importing, and reheating.
