My last Japanese snack review (for the moment!) Opening this up, the smell instantly reminds me of the shortbread Girl Scout cookies. It’s two shortbread esque cookies with another thin layer of custard in between.
Tasting it reminds me of a less delectable golden Oreo. The cookie portion tastes pretty basic and lacks flavor. The custard tastes fake and that thin layer is overpowered by the cookie. For a desert named I love custard, they really skimped on it. This box had enough for me to get a second, but I had zero desire after finishing one. Not the worst thing I’ve ever had, but not great.
